Course Outline:
SACE Music Advanced subject. It is designed to extend students’ existing musical understanding and skills in creating and responding to music. Students develop and extend their musical literacy and understanding through the exploration of musical works and apply it in the creation of their own music. They explore and develop their practical skills through performing, arranging and composing works. They identify and analyse musical elements, structure, and stylistic features of the music of others. Students reflect on their understanding and develop the ability to appraise and refine their creative works in response to their musical understanding, skills, and techniques. Music Studies has a focus on Musical Styles, Historical Contexts, and Sound Technology
